Is this for you?

This training is for you if any of these sound familiar.

  • You're in IT — QA, business analysis, support, development, ops — and you want to move into project management
  • You've applied to dozens of PM roles and heard almost nothing back
  • Every posting asks for "PM experience," and you can't work out how to get it without already having it
  • You have real technical experience but don't know how to position it as project management
  • You've collected certifications and they haven't changed your career
  • You already do coordination, scheduling and stakeholder work — you just don't have the title

Common questions

I don't have any PM experience.

Almost nobody making this move does — that's the whole problem the training addresses. If you coordinate work, chase dependencies, run status updates or manage stakeholders, you're already doing project management under a different job title. The work is repositioning it accurately, then building the missing pieces deliberately.

I'm not a developer. Does this still apply?

Yes. Most people I work with come from QA and testing, business analysis, support, database administration, operations, or cost and financial analysis. Project managers coordinate the work; they don't build it. A technical background helps you speak the language, but it isn't the qualifying factor.

Do I need the PMP first?

No — and I say this as someone who holds it. The PMP is genuinely useful for getting past a resume screen and for the vocabulary. It just doesn't answer the interview question "tell me about a project you ran." I passed mine in 2011 and it took four more years to make the move, which is exactly why I built this differently.

I'm already a Scrum Master. Is this redundant?

Usually not. Scrum Masters typically have deep exposure to one slice of delivery and little to the rest — business case, charter, governance, budget, procurement, change control. That gap is what tends to surface in interviews for full PM roles.

I'm outside the US — does this work?

The frameworks, resume positioning and interview preparation aren't country-specific, and I mentor people across the US, Canada and India. What does vary is the job market itself: local hiring demand, salary ranges and timelines differ substantially by region, and I'd rather set that expectation honestly than pretend otherwise. Bring it up on the call and I'll tell you what I actually see in your market.

How much time does this take each week?

That's the right question to ask, and the honest answer is that it depends on you. Plenty of people I work with are on long shifts or carrying real family responsibilities. The coaching cadence flexes — weekly to fortnightly on request — and the portal doesn't expire, so you can move at the pace your life actually allows rather than the pace a curriculum dictates.

About results and timelines

This training references a 90-day timeline. That reflects what has been possible for clients who do the work: attending every scheduled coaching call, completing the course modules and assignments, finishing the hands-on project work, and doing the interview practice sessions. It is not a typical result, an average, or a promise.

Your outcome depends on your own effort and consistency, the experience you're starting from, and factors outside anyone's control — including the job market where you live, hiring timelines, and employer decisions. Nothing in this training or on this page is a guarantee of employment, of an interview, or of any particular salary.

Salary figures shown in the session are the presenter's own documented compensation and publicly listed job postings in the New York metro area, included to illustrate market range. Compensation varies substantially by location, employer, industry, and individual experience.
